Jonalyn Viray is the Philippines’ ultimate soul princess. She has been nominated for and has won dozens of awards for her singing capabilities, including gold medals in the Broadway, Pop, RnB and Jazz categories at the World Championships of Performing Arts in 2006, affirming her as one of the finest vocalists in the world. Jonalyn continues to wow us with her soulful and belting vocal acrobatics with her latest self-titled release. Drawing inspiration from pop diva Mariah Carey and fellow Filipina Regine Velasquez, Jonalyn’s delves deep into stories of love, loss and heartbreak. The songs on the five-track EP are sung in both Tagalog and English, which shows her true versatility while effortlessly moving between the Slow Jam, RnB and Pop genres. The debut single, “Help Me Get Over” made its debut on the Top 30 Philippines charts this week. The song also made an appearance on the Philippines iTunes charts peaking at number 5 and marking her first appearance on the chart.
