Justin Bieber wins first ever Grammy… kinda

Justin Bieber has proven that third time is the charm and taken down his first ever Grammy. But he can’t claim all the credit…

A Grammy Award has always evaded the pop star, who has won one Brit Award, one Bambi Awards, and numerous fan voted awards which include 8 American Music Awards, 16 Teen Choice Awards and 18 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Bieber had previously being nominated for three Grammy Awards but it wasn’t until the pop superstar teamed up with electronic duo of Skrillex and Diplo for their track “Where Are Ü Now” that he can count a little gold gramophone trophy as part of his collection.

The 2015 track triumphed over other dance heavyweights Flying Lotus with his track “Never Catch Me,” Galantis’ “Runaway,” Above and Beyond’s “We’re All We Need” and The Chemical Brothers’ “Go” to take the award for Best Dance Recording.

Whilst the award was not televised, the pop superstar expressed his gratitude across Twitter, thanking his fans, manager Scooter Braun and Grammy voters for supporting the hit single.
