Caracal announces Japan tour dates

Caracal, one of Singapore’s foremost post-hardcore bands, announces Japanese tour dates beginning mid September 2012. The band will play multiple shows in Tokyo and conclude the tour with a performance at Kansai Music Conference in Osaka.

“This is our first tour in Japan and we’re looking forward to be taking our music to new markets in the short span of five years. Japan will be our second international showing this year after Spring Scream Festival in Taiwan and we’re excited to meet new fans around the country,” said Martin Kong, drummer of Caracal.

Tour dates
11 Sept: Moon Romantic (Aoyama, Tokyo)
12 Sept: K’s Dream (Inage, Chiba)
13 Sept: CAVE BE (Shimokitazawa, Tokyo)
14 Sept: Koenji Club Roots (Chuo-ku, Tokyo)
15 Sept: Fan-J (Shinsaibashi, Osaka)

To date, Caracal has performed at international festivals including Canadian Music Week, MIDI Festival, China’s biggest music festival and Spring Scream Festival, which is Taiwan’s longest running festival. Caracal has also opened for international headliners such as Switchfoot, Underoath and Funeral For A Friend.

The band’s Japan tour is supported in part by the National Arts Council (NAC) and the Singapore International Foundation (SIF).

Caracal is one of Singapore’s foremost post-hardcore band, playing a visceral brand of rock that alternates between crushing riffs and gorgeous harmonic melodies. The confident songwriting shines through in their debut full-length ‘BEAR. SHARK. WOLF.’, a record embellished with their trademark brutal technicality and raw youth. Caracal is as exciting to watch live as it is to listen to, where the visceral cathartic release takes on a more palpable note – garnering a multitude of loyal fans both local and overseas.
