Zouk KL dishes up sneak preview of brand new superclub’s August DJ lineup

It’s the end of an era for Zouk KL as they get ready to move to a brand new, purpose built venue in Jalan Tun Razak. They’ve given us a sneak preview of the first month’s welcoming party and it’s looking like it’s going to be huge!

In just over a week party goers in Malaysia will bid farewell to a clubbing institution as Zouk KL closes the doors of the iconic Jalang Ampang venue for the final time. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Zouk KL is set to go off with a bang when it throws open its doors of its new venue this August.

The superclub have release a sneak preview of the acts that are set to grace the decks at the purpose built new location along bustling Jalan Tun Razak and it’s fair to say that it’s enough to get any electronic music fan excited. Dubvision, Miss Nine, Tritonal and Ftampa have all been confirmed to play during the opening month of the new iteration of Zouk KL.

But lets not get too ahead of ourselves. There is still the “Lights Out, Moving Out” farewell party for Velvet Underground and Zouk Cafe Bar on July 25th. Goldfish & Blink, Twilight Action, Girl, Ken Master, Luqe, Shazz, Radzi, RJ Funk, Mr Nasty, Nick Haydez, BATE, HypeEmBeats and Reeve will present a musical trip down memory lane on one very special night at Velvet Underground from 10pm till late.

“From the creative community, the who’s who, trendsetters to musicians and club kids, Zouk KL has enthralled those who have waltzed past its velvet ropes in the last 11 years” says founder of Zouk KL, Cher Ng. “The finale of Lights Out, Move Out on July 25 is going to be a milestone event. One that will evoke many a fond memory, memorable moments of an iconic brand.”

Revellers attending the “Lights Out, Move Out” farewell party are able to sign up for launch invites to the new Zouk at TREC and Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur’s membership. In addition there will also be a sneak peek of the new club being screened during the evening. And finally, one of the best reminders of a decade of clubbing history a limited-edition Zouk KL T-shirt for the first 200 guests.
