It’s a wrap – Yellowcard announce farewell tour of Asia

After a 19 year career, American rock outfit Yellowcard are calling it quits, announcing one last world tour before they hang up their instruments for good. Along with stops in Australia, America and Europe they’ll also be touching down in Hong Kong, Manila and Singapore in early February, 2017.

The band released their final,self-titled album on September 30 via Hopeless Records, while their ‘The Final World Tour’ commenced earlier this month in Texas. The tour will see them perform across the UK, Netherlands, Germany and Australia as well as the three performances across Asi, thanks to Impact Live.

“We will be forever grateful to Yellowcard fans all over the world for the opportunities you have given us. We have played shows for nearly two decades on six continents, and had the chance to keep recording the music we love year after year,”  the band said in a While it is with sadness that we say goodbye, it is with gratitude and amazement that we look back on a career we can be proud of, and were so very lucky to have had.”

Established in 1997 in Jacksonville, Florida, Yellowcard is made up of vocalist and guitarist Ryan Key, violinist Sean Mackin, guitarist Ryan Mendez and bassist Josh Portman. They are known for their popular songs Ocean Avenue, Only One and Way Away.

“After countless discussions and months of thought, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end,” said the band via its official website. “Once this final chapter for Yellowcard comes to a close, we will all be heading in new directions in our lives, but these memories will never leave us.”
