The Sam WIllows return to Malaysia for exclusive performance

The darlings of the Singapore indie circuit, The Sam Willows, are headed to Kuala Lumpur later this March.

The four-piece group consists of brother-sister combination Benjamin and Narelle Kheng along with friends Sandra Riley and Jonathon Chua. Their evocative blend of pop has catapulted them into fame in their native Singapore and they are now the most popular  music band channel on YouTube in Singapore with more than 80,000 subscribers.

 

The Sam Willows reveal their secrets and answer the big questions

 

They recorded their debut album Take Heart in February 2015 and released the first single “Take Heart” in July and follow up single “For Love” in October 2015.

 

Other highlights in 2015 included the group supporting Irish rockers The Script on their Singapore tour, a headline slot at the F1 Grand Prix alongside Jimmy Cliff, Bon Jovi and Maroon 5 and playing to 50,000 at the South East Asian Games .

The band was nominated for the wildcard round as MTV Asia’s Best Southeast Asian Act in 2014 and also Best Southeast Asian Act for the MTV EMA’s in 2015. In 2015, the band emerged as the first South East Asian act to break into Spotify Global Viral 50 chart and was named “Best Artist” in Singapore by Apple Music.

 

The Sam Willows show live in Kuala Lumpur will take place at The Bee in Publika on March 5 at 8.00PM. Limited early bird tickets to the show are priced at RM68 and the rest of the tickets to the show are priced at RM88, excluding booking fees and GST. Tickets can be purchased from January 13 onwards.
