Bangkok welcomes Battles back for a long overdue return this December

Legendary math rock band Battles are returning to Bangkok this December and they’re bringing an all star support cast with them.

Those that have witnessed the majesty of seeing Battles perform live would will attest to them being one of the best live bands on the touring circuit. Their spectacular live shows have won them legions of fans and the revered three piece regularly perform at iconic festivals like Fuji Rock and Coachella.

Battles have become famous for their intricate and dynamic math-rock sets, having made waves with their debut album Mirrored and the follow-up Gloss Drop. They are now back with an extensive world tour, new album La Di Da and single “The Yabba”. For those yet to experience the band, the various live sessions and concerts online give a taste of what this band can do on stage with no laptops or backing tracks. Through a combination of live-looping and some serious musicianship, the three members of Battles are able to create a live sound unmatched by any other band.

Battles are bringing with them some heavyhitting support acts with Indonesia’s Bottlesmoker and local electonic heroes DCNXTR supporting the show.

Hong Kong fans will be able to catch Battles at Clockenflap festival in late November whilst Singaporean fans can catch them live at Laneway Festival in January. For anyone in Thailand though, this is your best chance to see this incredible act at the peak of their talent.
