Overdrive and Singha are a week away from giving hard rockers across Southeast Asia reason to rejoice, bringing metal legends Machinehead to Bangkok as part of their ‘An Evening With Machinehead’ tour on July 8 at Centerpoint Studio.
Formed in 1991, the outfit were founded by vocalist and guitarist Robb Flynn and bassist Adam Duce. Considered one of the godfathers of metal, the band has gone from strength to strength, building on a solid base of work before releasing their critically acclaimed albums Through the Ashes of Empires in 2003, The Blackening in 2007 which earned the band their first Grammy Award nomination), Unto the Locust in 2011, and their latest offering Bloodstone & Diamonds last year.
Machinehead have just completed a tour of South America and are playing a series of dates in Japan before heading to Eastern Europe later in the year. In the meantime, Bangkok is preparing itself for a night of thrash metal carnage.
