Spotlight on Urbanscapes: Salammusik

How would you describe Salammusik’ sound?

Salammusik is the pure sound of love and unity. Salammusik speaks a language of its own, not dependent on any external influences, with a mix of genres from Malay grooves (irama Melayu) to modern music, with its members coming from different places showing diversity and similarities in their differences.

What are your thoughts on playing at Urbanscapes Festival and what are you most looking forward to?

It’s a great opportunity for Salammusik to perform at Urbanscapes alongside most of the famous artists in Malaysia. We will be looking forward to putting on a great show as usual, Salammusik will rock the house.

What can festival-goers expect from Salammusik’ set at Urbanscapes?

Salammusik fans can expect a different vibe with new songs to present from the new upcoming album.

If SalamMusik could collaborate with one other act that is also performing at Urbanscapes, who would you pick and what do you think the collaboration would sound like?

We did a couple of collaboration with the members of Flowfam in our first album. Probably we will hit the stage together again, you’ll never know. We are very excited to perform in Urbanscapes!
