5 Reasons To Attend SG MUSO’s House Party

As a follow up to the inaugural Music Matters Academy which ran as a 3-day project for Singaporean artists at Music Matters 2013, SGMUSO is hosting a HOUSE PARTY on October 5 at Aliwal Arts Center. They got the day jam-packed with activities, and here are 5 reasons why you should totally go:

1. Live music.

Expect over 20 homegrown artists to perform including singer/songwriter Charlie Lim, hip-hop boy Kevin Lester, well-loved vocalist Sezairi, pop-soul diva Sarah Cheng-De Winneharmonious bunch The Sam Willows and multilingual crooner Bevlyn Khoo to name a few. Check out their line-up below:

2. Educational Panels.

Dynamic panel discussions on key topics are lined-up: if you’re an artist, you might want to take pointers from the likes of Vanessa Fernandez (Vandetta/Octover) on Honing Your Artistic Vision and preparing a killer press release with the help of SG MUSO’s Graham Perkins.

3. Relevant Topics.

Another panel will be held for Digital Distribution – and in this day and age – one should really get their head around it. Representatives from YouTubeSpotifyDeezer, Rdio and Believe Digital will be speaking.

4. Films!

Two local music documentaries will be shown from directors Daniel Rucerito (“Here We Are”) and Helmi Ali and Razin Ramzi (“Ignore All Detour Signs”). The movies talk about Singapore’s rapidly growing music scene and feature I Am David Sparkle, The Great Spy Experiment,Monstercat and Inch Chua.

5. It’s free and open to the public.

And that pretty much closes the deal, don’t you think?

There are limited seats for the panels, but you can reserve one for yourself or for a friend by emailing with your name, contact number and the preferred panel as your e-mail subject. For the full-day schedule, click here.
