To celebrate their 10th anniversary as a band, Japanese rockers ONE OK ROCK have just announced their return to South-east Asia to perform a series of shows in January 2016.
Drawing comparison with the bubblegum pop punk stylings of Good Charlotte and the harder edged sound of Rise Against, the Japanese four piece combine elements of pop punk, alternative rock, heavy metal, post-hardcore and emo into a scintillating mix. They’ve steadily played at larger and larger venues as their popularity has grown. Beginning with humble origins in small live venues, ONE OK ROCK are bringing their immense sound to stadium shows for their biggest performances to date in the region.
ONE OK ROCK’s sound has won them fans across South-east Asia and seen them tour the area twice in the past but the last 18 months have seen them explode into the popular consciousness of international audiences. 2014 saw them embark on a European, North American and South American tour and they are just about to commence a 30-city North American tour. They headline shows in Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Silver Springs starting at the end of September and from October to mid-November, they will join All Time Low’s US tour along with Sleeping with Sirens.
Delivering a steady stream of EPs and full length releases, ONE OK ROCK released their seventh studio album, “35xxxv” earlier this year and announced that they have signed with Warner Brothers in the U.S. They will release a Delux edition of the album with English versions of the songs for a North American release on September 25.
