Rihanna announces Anti world tour; doesn’t include Asia

Though Rihanna is still yet to officially announce a release date for her long-awaited album, Anti, she has revealed that she’s going on a world tour for the album, commencing in February 2016.

Oh, but don’t get your hopes up too much if you’re based in Asia – by world tour, she means across North America and Europe. The tour schedule will see the performer playing 36 shows across the continental US and Canada before embarking on a 23 date tour across Europe. There is a month between the two legs of the tour but it is expected that the star will take some time off performing in between the exhaustive schedule. The full tour schedule can be found here.

The announcement also gives an indication that her much hyped upcoming album Anti will be out sooner than some have speculated. The exact date of the album’s release has been a closely guarded secret but it will almost certainly be released before February 26, when the tour commences in San Diego.

Supporting the superstar on her tour will be Travi$ Scott on the North American leg, while the Weeknd and Big Sean will join her for the European dates.

The star last visited Asia in September 2013 as part of her Diamonds world tour and saw her perform in Singapore, Macau and the Philippines but at this point there has been no mention of any Asian dates. Stay tuned for further details as they come to light… or just start spamming her Facebook or Twitter accounts to get the ball rolling in the meantime.
