LIVE REVIEW: Blue Moon: 2013 CNBLUE Live in Manila

Manila was in for a treat last Saturday as South Korean rock band CNBLUE dropped by for their Blue Moon World Tour.

The band already performed at neighboring countries like Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong – and dropped by Melbourne and Sydney before performing in Manila for the first time. The boys performed twenty-three of their songs to over 5000 Filipino fans which includes the tracks “Where You Are”, “Get Away”, “One Time”, “Try Again Smile Again” and “Coffee Shop”. With the Patron and Patron VIP seats sold out days before the show, one can expect a sea of devoted fans singing along with CNBLUE all through the night.

The boys surprised the crowd by reading messages in Tagalog but the best surprise of all is when members Kang Minhyuk (drums), Lee Jungshin (bass), and Lee Jonghyun (lead guitar) asked the audience to sing happy birthday to lead singer Jung Yonghwa for his twenty-fifth birthday – and the crowd happily granted their request.

After the night, CNBLUE posted a photo on their Twitter account (@CNBLUE_4) while the birthday boy thanked the crowd for his surprise.
