International pop icon Britney Spears is set to release her ninth studio album Glory later this month, her first release in three years, featuring 17 brand new songs. There’s only one place you’ll be able to purchase or stream the new record though…

Sorry Spotify users and Tidal fans (I swear there must be some out there), Brittney announced on Wednesday that the hotly anticipated album will be available exclusively through Apple Music.

The exclusive release is the latest coup by Apple Music, who have gone head to head with other streaming platforms like Tidal and Spotify in the battle for subscribers. With very little differentiating the services, exclusive releases have become a key strategy for Apple and Tidal in luring users away from Spotify, which had a years-long head start in the streaming industry.

Tidal has snared a number of high-profile exclusives in recent months, though their periods of exclusivity have often been limited. Apple Music has also won a few big exclusives; the only place you can stream Taylor Swift’s 1989 is through Apple Music and Frank Ocean’s hotly anticipated album “Boys Don’t Cry” will be an Apple Music as of today.

Whilst this is the first album for Spears, one of the most successful and celebrated entertainers in pop history, she’s been busy with her Las Vegas “Piece of Me” residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. According to TMZ, the deal has earned the performer a cool $66.5 million for her contract.
