by

New York: KPop sensations and Music Weekly faves, Girls’ Generation, won “Video Of The Year” at last night’s YouTube Music Awards held in New York. The show, hosted by Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts, turned in to a chaotic, exciting and fun night, with the pair covered in paint by the show’s end. The winning video, “I Got A Boy” is taken from Girls’ Generation’s 4th album and is a sign the nine member group could be the next South Korean band to follow Psy and become global superstars. The band formed in 2007 and have since gone on to sell millions of singles to their growing army of adoring fans, which is now extending in to the US and Europe. The girls have been constantly touring this year and will feel this award is recognition of their hard work and catchy songs.
