Indonesian Fans Believe Justin Bieber Twitter Campaign Will Bring Movie

Indonesia: Local fans have launched a Justin Bieber Twitter campaign to ensure his new movie, Believe, gets a screening in the country.

Bieber’s new movie is in a documentary style, filmed during his recent tour and features brand new interviews with Bieber and appearances from manager Scooter Braun, Usher Raymond, Rodney Jerkins, Ludacris, Mike Posner and many more. It’s being released on Christmas Day and the producers, which include Bieber himself, have launched an online campaign called “Where Do You Believe”? This encourages fans, including his 47m Twitter followers, to tweet “I just requested the #BelieveMovie in my city, you should too! ” to decide which movie theatres show the film. However, fans in Indonesia want to make sure this time they don’t miss out.

@justinbieberID, one of the largest Twitter fan fans clubs in Indonesia, says, “Justin Bieber’s new movie is coming out this out December but it’s only officially released in US, Canada and Australia. However, other countries can demand their local theatre to play the movie by tweeting.”

Thousands of Indonesian fans clearly agree. “At first we felt sorry and so sad, since Indonesia didn’t get to see the Believe Tour”, @justinbieberID continues, “and Justin only performed a few dates of his tour of Asia. So now, we really want to make this film happen”.

In a great demonstration of fan power, @justinbieberID has arranged an online campaign using the power of Twitter and their 147,000+ followers. They explain, “Since we are the biggest fanbase of Justin Bieber in Indonesia and we get support from Universal Indonesia, Justin’s label, we got working. We asked fans to help and try to reach local cinemas and distributors. We’re lucky enough to have reached @jsmanson from Justin’s management who replied to our Tweets. Now we are determined to make sure theatre managers know how many Beliebers are in Indonesia by making #IndonesiaNeedsBelieveMovie a trending topic”.

@justinbieberID is hopeful that Cinema21, the largest cinema network in Indonesia, will respond to the campaign and agree to screen the Believe movie.

Justin Bieber’s last film, “Never Say Never” was released in 2011.
