Rihanna’s Got A New Day Job… At Puma

Rihanna has been announced as the creative director at sports firm PUMA and will be the public face of the women’s training collection from January 2015.

Continuing a long tradition of celebrity endorsements of fashion lines and labels, Rihanna has taken on the role as PUMA’s global ambassador for Women’s Training and will bring her own eclectic flair and stylish sensibilities to PUMA’s collections as the Women’s Creative Director.

Speaking of the new partnership with PUMA, Rhianna said ““It’s great to find a brand that celebrates strength and individuality. I couldn’t think of a more perfect partner to collaborate with as a creative director. I’m excited for you to see what Puma and I come up with.”

 

Rhianna is set to play a starring role in PUMA’s brand campaign, Forever Faster and be featured along with many of PUMA’s world-class athletes such as Usain Bolt and Sergio Aguero. PUMA and Rihanna will launch several fan activations throughout the partnership around the world such as consumer and retail events, training and fitness related social media content, and product programs.

Rihanna joins a growing number of celebrities that have collaborated with sneaker companies. Run-D.M.C, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Eminem, 50 Cent, Drake and Nelly have all acted as celebrity endorsers for sneakers over the years.
