Russian Circles live in Singapore

KittyWu Records and Incursive Productions are proud to present Chicago’s critically acclaimed three-piece, Russian Circles, in a one-night-only concert at TAB (Singapore) on Saturday, 13 October 2012. The performance is part of an extensive Australasian tour which includes New Zealand, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Their last performance in Singapore was in September 2010.

Lesley Chew of KittyWu Records on bringing Russian Circles to Singapore for the second time: “They performed an amazing show in 2010 and when we heard they were touring Australia again, we couldn’t pass up on the opportunity – we’re really looking forward to having them play Singapore again”. This tour supports their fourth release, Empros, that picks up where the anthemic riffs and melodies of 2009’s Geneva left off.

A balancing act on a cosmic scale… Every note on Empros is its right place, every surface scraped-up just so” – Pitchfork, 2011

It’s a consistently gradual progression which defines Empros; contrasts in tone and texture are always smooth and never abrasive, despite their often overtly aggressive nature. Indeed, Russian Circles have become masters of the art of the chameleon-riff, one that shifts to match its surroundings but without ever losing its own sense of individuality and purpose”. – Drowned In Sound, 2011
