the-sam-willows-2015 After playing in front of 25,000 people at the ASEAN Games Closing Ceremony it seems there’s nothing The Sam Willows cant achieve. The all conquering quartet will join Pharrell Williams, Maroon 5 and Spandau Ballet, returning to perform as part of the 2015 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix entertainment lineup.

After bursting onto the local music scene in 2102, indie folk quartet The Sam Willows have gone from strength to strength, sharing the stage with some of music’s brightest stars and as of September, this resume is only looking to improve. They return for a third straight year to perform at the 2015 Singapore Grand Prix with music legends Jimmy Cliff, Bon Jovi and Spandau Ballet along with super producer and perpetually ‘happy’ Pharrell Williams, Sweden’s Dirty Loops and the irrepressible Maroon 5.

Consisting of siblings Narelle Kheng and Benjamin Kheng along with their friends Riley Tang and Jonathan Chua, The Sam Willows released their first EP in 2012 and released the first single for the album, Glasshouse, in 2013. The same year they played at 6 different music conferences in 8 months including shows in the United States, Canada, Singapore, Korea and Australia and have built a strong following both locally and across the region since then.

The band is expecting to release their first full album later this year.
