Singapore comes alive for St. Patrick’s Festival this March

by

Singapore is about to be transformed into a musical wonderland as the much anticipated St. Patrick’s Festival returns this March.

St.-Pat's-21

Taking place from 1 to 20 March, fans can look forward to an exciting three-week line-up of activities and great Guinness Draught promotions happening all across the island. To give you even more reason to come together and celebrate, make a date with your friends and have a round of Guinness this St. Patrick’s Festival! 20,000 complimentary pints of Guinness Draught will be up for grabs; that’s some 8,800 litres of GUINNESS goodness given away over three weeks!

There will be a host of musical performances from some of the most talented bands in the country playing music from March 17 – 19. The best places to catch all the action will be:

The Smashing Clovers at Muddy Murphy’s – 17 March

Kicking off Muddy Murphy’s 20th birthday celebrations  at this year’s St. Patrick’s Festival is headliner The Smashing Clovers!

53A at Timbre @ The Substation – 18 March

No stranger to the local music scene, Singapore’s very own 53A will also be jumping in on the St. Pat’s festivities to play a gig featuring songs by Irish bands.

Live authentic Irish music at McGettigan’s – 18 and 19 March

Two unique bands in their own right, Hermitage Green and Gan Ainm will be performing at McGettigan’s this St. Patrick’s Festival. Hermitage Green never fails to present their unique arrangement of instruments that includes the bodhrán, djembe, rhythmic guitar and banjo – to truly provide an original offering of Irish Music. Similarly, Gan Ainm will bring its extensive repertoire of Irish traditional and contemporary folk music mixed with a dash of Scots songs and Celtic-influenced American pieces to the local music scene.
