Wonderfruit adds Lianne La Havas to lineup along with massive second round music announcement

What do Lianne La HavasStephan Bodzin , YoKoO all have in common? Well, they’re just some of the new acts announced that will be adding some extra spice to the Wonderfruit lineup.

London based soul singer and multi-instrumentalist La Havas, Berlin techno icon Bodzin and house producer YokoO reflect the diversity of the Wonderfruit bill, aiming to create a family friendly envronment for everyone to enjoy across the course of the four day event.

The Thailand-based festival has also Eric Volta, Marc Antona, Uone, Blitzen Trapper, Buke and Gase, Coran and Noxro to the bill, reinforcing the first line-up including drum and bass group Rudimental, Scottish hip hop trio Young Fathers, dub pioneer Mad Professor, Nastia, Matador, Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra and many more.

The festival has continued its strategy of moving away from having a single big name headline act, instead favouring the approach of marketing itself as a lifestyle festival centered on six pillars: music, arts, farm-to-feasts, wellness, workshops and family. The festival aims to showcase many elements of Thai culture and educating participants on their vision for a sustainable future. Sakon Suwannakhot, a 10-year-old shadow puppeteer, will perform Nang Talung at the festival and national hero Buakaw Banchamek will kick things up a notch with his Muay Thai workshop.

The festival have also unveiled plans to have a stage made of rice and a brand new stage to be built by Burning Man’s Greg Fleishman. The stage will be used for sunrise and sunset performances, an art installation created primarily from waste collected by beach cleanup crew Trash Hero, and a speaker series focused on creating a sustainable future.
