Yeng Constantino Talks About Shift, Her Birthday Concert And New Single


Philippines: Yeng Constantino, currently in the Top 30 Philippines download chart, has released a video talking about her new Shift movie and birthday concert as well as a recently released single in Singapore.

The video which is a short video blog for all her fans about everything Yeng is doing this November: The screening of her debut-acting role in a movie entitled SHIFT, her upcoming Birthday Concert PLUGGEDin, and her newly released single together with Singapore’s hiphop/rap artist Sheikh Haikel.

She also expressed her thanks and gratitude to all her fans for their continual support and invited them to watch her movie’s premiere screening as well as to celebrate and party with her on her upcoming birthday concert.

 The video can be viewed in her official Facebook fanpage dated November 7.

Yeng Constantino Shift Movie

First is the movie Shift. Yeng plays the main role as Estela, a call center agent who falls in love with her friend who happens to be a closeted gay which is played by Filipino actor Felix Roco. The story then revolves on their budding unconventional relationship that challenges both their personal convictions.

The film is part of the Cinema One Originals Film Festival 2013, an annual independent film festival produced by one of ABS-CBN’s cable channel Cinema One. Directed by Siege Ledesma, the film’s premiere was last November 11 and runs until November 19.    

Next is PLUGGEDin: The Yeng Constantino Birthday Concert. It’s a concert for her avid fans as well as to benefit the Right Start, a non-profit NGO that gives underprivileged children a chance to have a right start in life through child-centric afterschool programs that promote creativity and productivity.

And third is the release of her original song entitled “Better than yesterday” in Singapore last November 7 at School of Music Recording Studio for the Academy of Rock CD compilation featuring Singapore’s “Godfather of Hip Hip” Sheikh Haikel. The song was said to be partially inspired by her current relationship status which she says is a “wonderful blessing from God.”  Sheikh will also be performing with Yeng at her PluggedIn concert.

Yeng is part of Academy of Rock Singapore as their Filipino Ambassadress who represents the county in various Asian music festivals and events like Hong Kong’s Silvermine Bay Music Festival last October.
