PBR Streetgang – At Dez

Artist Name: PBR Streetgang

It’s time for some more big, deep house tracks to hit your speakers, this time coming to you care of UK lads PBR Streetgang. Initially churning out a solid mix of funk, new disco and electro, it seems the gang have done a U-Turn, turning their attention to the bassier, dancier side of the mix. At Dez is chock full of 4 huge tracks destined to pump through underground clubs. A dark production of pounding kicks, driving bass played off by soft treble, the title track shows just how deep the duo can get. ‘At Dez’ isn’t just deep, it’s chilling. The pounding bass and minor highs reverberate around the room with a strange gothic buoyancy to fill every corner with its throbbing, off-beat goodness. ‘2Square’ sees the EP get a bit more frenetic and tech before the lads turn to the summer side of house with ‘Make Your Mind Up’, a floating track which nods to the group’s original sound. ‘Sexay Time’ rounds it all off with a scattered bass line and sampled vocals that are as playful as the name suggests. On the whole, the EP makes for great listening and is an enlightened choice for the dance floor.

Oh and check out their Missy Elliot re-work on Soundcloud while you’re at it, solid gold.
