Chris Brown ‘Probably’ Releasing His Last Album?

Aw, poor Chris Brown. Yesterday, the RnB singer – better known as Rihanna‘s on-off love and for beating her up – shared his feelings via Twitter on his future in the music industry. With his sixth album scheduled to come out on August 15th, Brown sent cryptic tweets to his followers and fans about his possible retirement, claiming that will “probably be [his] last album”.

It’s been four years since the alleged assault Brown and then girlfriend, pop superstar Rihanna, took place. Both were at the initial stages of their international stardom, with Brown gaining massive attention for his sophomore album Exclusive and Rihanna with Good Girl Gone Bad. They were a young power couple in the entertainment world – a bit like Beyonce and Jay-Z until one beats the other, TMZ published photos of a beaten up RiRi, and the rest is unforgotten history. Brown received a backlash after the incident which goes as far as multiple radio stations taking his music off the playlists, several ads featuring him got suspended, and the singer withdrawing from his public appearances.

Adding to his recent tweet about – which is now deleted from his Twitter account – Brown added that, “Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!” Rihanna is probably over it too – the couple reunited shortly in 2012 before breaking it off earlier this year. Only time will tell if Brown is serious with his retirement plans – but with an album due to come out in a week, we’re bound to see more of him in the coming days.
