Miley Tags Bieber for some Twerking

So we hear that Miley Cyrus teamed up with Justin Bieber for a track called “Twerk”? Really? As if we didn’t have enough of that word this week!

At the recently held MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), Miley Cyrus took the stage to perform her hit “We Can’t Stop”. The star from the now defunct Disney show Hannah Montana stepped out on a stage dressed like one of her violet back-up teddy bear dancers. She later on welcomed the equally provocative Robin Thicke to sing his controversial track “Blurred Lines”, then ripping her teddy bear suit apart to dance around with a giant foam finger in her, uhm, nude-colored underwear, leaving tormentuous mental images in our minds, forever.

If that’s not enough, the Oxford online dictionary also added ‘twerk‘ in its vocabulary as a “dance to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance”.

The new Cyrus and Bieber track with Lil’ Twist leaked yesterday – and while it was removed from YouTube, you can still listen to Miley as she sings, “I came up in this party time to twerk” here:

Miley also released a follow-up to her single “We Can’t Stop” before her infamous VMA performance called “Wrecking Ball“, taken from her upcoming album, Bangerz. Expected album release date is October 4.
