After self-producing two albums (Laguku, 2003 and Tempat Terindah, 2004), UNGU joined Trinity Optima Production in 2005 and released MElayang and mini album Surgamu. The two singles ‘Andai Ku Tahu ‘ and ‘Surga-Mu’ became hits and UNGU was then known as the first pop-rock band that produced an Indonesian religious album. Two more albums were released in 2007 (Untukmu Selamanya and Para Pencari Mu), and the single “Para Pencari Tuhan’ was chosen to be the soundtrack and title of Dedi Mizwar’s Ramadhan soap opera. The band has since produced four albums that have strengthened its position as one of the most famous Indonesian bands: Aku dan Tuhanku (2008), Penguasa Hati (2009), Maha Besar (2009) and 1000 Kisah Satu Hati (2012).
