VIDEO: Britney Spears – ‘Ooh La La’

For every tween girl who watched Britney Spears start from that cool teen pop star with her debut, “Baby One More Time” in 1998, to going bald and attacking the paparazzi back in 2007, it’s a relief to see that Ms. Spears is seemingly back on track. Her comeback spawned the highest-grossing global concert tour in 2009, three top 10 singles from Femme Fatale in the US, and a judge’s seat on the reality show The X-Factor‘s second season.

As a follow-up to her track “Scream and Shout” with Black Eyed Peas’, Britney lent her pop sensibilities to the upcoming movie soundtrack, The Smurfs 2, with “Ooh La La”. The music video features the adorable Smurfs dancing along with the singer, clips from the movies including lead Neil Patrick Harris and Hank Azaria‘s fight scene, and the dearest of it all for the pop princess: her sons, Preston and Jayden.

The boys, who you could very much think of as twins, appear as themselves in the music video, watching The Smurfs 2 with their mom before she got zapped out of the theater and into the Smurfs’ world. Britney dishes out on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, “The main reason why I did it was because [of] my boys. They’re obsessed with The Smurfs. They were told they could be in the video and all this cool stuff, so that’s the reason why I did it.”
